These programs ensure that participants can fully engage with the world around them, pursue their interests, and develop a deeper sense of belonging.
Through interactive workshops, accessible cultural experiences, leadership initiatives, and social gatherings, we empower individuals to build relationships, share experiences, and participate in community life with confidence and independence. Our goal is to create a more inclusive society where individuals with visual impairments can lead fulfilling lives and actively contribute to their communities.

Community Service Department
The Community Service Department was established to provide cultural, recreational, and enrichment services to blind and visually impaired adults over the age of 21. People with visual impairments rely heavily on enhanced sensory perception and intellectual engagement, making them lifelong learners and active consumers of knowledge.
To support their continued intellectual and social growth, the department offers a variety of training courses, workshops, and interactive programs, including: Smartphone accessibility training, country Knowledge Circle – exploring geography and history, business entrepreneurship workshops, first aid certification courses, additional courses based on participant interests and needs.

Young Leadership Group
The Young Leadership Group was created to address the needs of younger generations of blind and visually impaired individuals, ensuring they have access to inclusive opportunities that align with their interests and aspirations.
Recognizing that the social and cultural experiences of young people with visual impairments should be no different from their sighted peers, this initiative provides accessible activities, community integration opportunities, and leadership development programs. The group organizes trips, workshops, and lectures, with a particular focus on bringing together individuals with and without disabilities to promote understanding, inclusion, and social equality.
By fostering peer interaction and leadership skills, the Young Leadership Group encourages participants to take an active role in shaping their communities and advocating for accessibility and inclusion.

Accessible Performances
The Community Service Department, in collaboration with the Library for the Blind, is committed to making theater performances, concerts, and films accessible to blind and visually impaired audiences.
Through audio description technology, blind and visually impaired individuals can experience and fully engage with live performances and cinema, ensuring that they enjoy the same cultural experiences as the general public.
By organizing accessible screenings and live shows, we aim to break down barriers in the arts and entertainment industry.

Exploring The Land – Tours And Cultural Evenings
Our tours and cultural programs offer participants the opportunity to experience Israel in a deeply immersive way. These experiences are designed to allow blind and visually impaired individuals to connect with the country’s history, landscapes, and cultural heritage through sensory engagement.
During these tours, participants touch historical artifacts, smell fragrant blossoms, taste local delicacies, and listen to the stories and sounds of the land. Each excursion is designed to bring history and culture to life through experiential learning, ensuring that participants can fully engage with their surroundings.

Social Club For Seniors
The Social Club for Seniors was created in response to the desire of older members of the blind community to have a dedicated space for socializing, relaxation, and recreation.
The club provides a welcoming environment where senior members can meet, engage in discussions, play games, and participate in activities that bring fulfillment and joy. By offering a well-maintained and fully equipped space, we ensure that individuals of all ages have the opportunity to connect, share experiences, and enjoy meaningful companionship.

Shabbat And Holiday Gatherings
For many years, members of the blind and visually impaired community have expressed the desire to celebrate Shabbat and holidays together in an inclusive and enriching environment.
Our Shabbat and holiday retreats provide an opportunity for community members to come together, share traditions, and create lasting memories.
One of the most meaningful experiences is our annual Passover Seder, where blind individuals and volunteers gather for a fully immersive and traditional celebration. This event brings a deep sense of belonging and togetherness, allowing participants to experience the holiday in a warm, inclusive, and supportive environment.
